From the legendary wildlife of the Masai Mara, through the rhino and flamingo country of Lake Nakuru, to the elephant-filled plains of Amboseli, this itinerary offers a diverse introduction to Kenya’s spectacular landscapes and wildlife—all at a budget-friendly rate of US$874 per person.
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel at 08:30. Drive towards the legendary Masai Mara, stopping along the way at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for sightseeing and photography.
Continue to Narok, the last major town before the Mara, where you will stop for lunch before proceeding to the reserve.
Arrive in the Masai Mara in the late afternoon and head out on your first game drive, continuing until approximately 18:30.
Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend the entire day exploring the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve on an extensive game drive.
The Mara is renowned for its rolling savannah landscapes, abundant wildlife and excellent game-viewing opportunities. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Mara River, with an opportunity to observe hippos and crocodiles around the river and hippo pool.
Continue your game drive through the afternoon before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a visit to a Maasai village for a cultural experience before departing the Mara towards Lake Nakuru.
Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its prolific birdlife and flamingoes. The park is also an important sanctuary for white rhinos, while Cape buffalo, waterbuck and other wildlife may be seen around the shoreline.
Arrive in the late afternoon and settle into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Rise early for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Explore the park’s wildlife-rich landscapes, with opportunities to see flamingoes, rhinos, Cape buffalo, waterbuck and other species.
After the game drive, depart for Amboseli with lunch en route. Arrive in the evening and settle into camp.
On a clear day, enjoy your first spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.

Today is dedicated to exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives.
The park’s marshes and wetlands attract a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, gazelles and impalas. Lions may also be spotted around the fringes of the marshes.
Amboseli is particularly famous for its large elephant population and the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro—creating some of the most iconic wildlife photography opportunities in Kenya.
With approximately 425 bird species recorded in the park, bird enthusiasts will also have plenty to look out for.

Wake up early for your final game drive in Amboseli. This is another opportunity to enjoy the park’s wildlife and, weather permitting, capture beautiful morning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Arrive in Nairobi in the evening and transfer to your hotel, marking the end of your 6-Day Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli Safari.
